If you love maple syrup, you will fall in love with Hickory Syrup. It makes for a great glaze for our pastured meats when added to butter and drizzled on top. It's also wonderful in your coffee, tea, yogurt, on pancakes, salad dressings or anywhere else you use maple syrup.
Slope Ranch is a small mini ranch in Somerset Ohio where owners Kristy and John Fletcher forage for Hickory bark. Creating a tea using the Hickory bark, they then add just enough can sugar (less than traditional recipes) to create a delicious syrup.
